CDC seeking Director, World Trade Center Health Program Division

Duties

The incumbent will:

  • Serve as a principal advisor to the NIOSH Director and as a member of the senior staff with responsibility for participating in the determination of the World Trade Center Health Program objectives and priorities. Provides leadership in formulation and communication of agency policy.
  • Provide executive leadership and directing all administrative and operational program activities of the division; ensuring the overall quality of the programs conducted by the division and ensuring that existing efforts are brought to bear on all aspects of the World Trade Center Health Program to deliver high-quality and comprehensive health care programs to responder and survivor cohorts and to carry-out all responsibilities required by the James Zadroga 9/11 Act.
  • Coordinate a multi-year planning function, developing, and coordinating legislative initiatives and regulations, and leading program evaluation studies.
  • Provide leadership and overall direction and vision to the Division’s subordinate leaders on a wide range of occupational safety, public health, and administrative issues.
  • Serve as a first and second level supervisor/manager exercising delegated authority to oversee and set annual long-range work plans and schedules for the work.
