The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is hosting an Industry Day event scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2019, beginning at 12:00 PM EST at VA s Technology Acquisition Center located in Eatontown, New Jersey.
VA is considering employing the use of a managed service for laptops that VA s contractors use throughout VA, beginning with contracts that support the VA Office of Information and Technology (OIT). This concept is called: Contractor-Laptops-as-a-Managed Service (CLaaMS). The goal of the industry day is to: a) have VA share the contractor laptop provisioning process VA uses today, and b) listen to industry s insights and ideas on ways to re-invent the way VA provisions laptops to its contractors by exploring the use of a managed services contract.
