VA awards $785M VBMS, IAM, and CH33 Infrastructure Support Services (VICHISS) task

G2X TAKE: A huge win for By Light as they just added a 5-year task award for Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS), Identity Access Management (IAM), and Chapter 33 Long Term Solution (CH33LTS) Infrastructure Support Services (VICHISS), which will provide both IaaS and infrastructure support services while VA acquires and implements a long-term solution.

Competed on T4NG, this task will enable the continued O&M of VBMS applications, IAM applications, and CH33LTS applications that are critical to the delivery of benefits to Veterans and reduction of the benefits claim backlog.

As part of the task, By Light will provide a Cloud Computing IaaS service model, to support a “Private Cloud” which includes completely dedicated and shared components, and an environment with the following characteristics: on-demand service, broad network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured service that are unique to IaaS cloud computing services, which shall additionally support failover to a secondary site, enhanced security services, disk backup, and encrypted backup.
