Major duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership to ensure achievement of the clinical and education goals of the program
- Report to the Chief of Staff and serve as a key clinical resource for the Medical Center Director and Chief of Staff
- Develop staff acceptance of the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and other clinical applications that support healthcare delivery for patients and care givers
- Key communicator of clinical informatics and will champion adoption of technology, such as computerized physician order entry (CPOE), clinical documentation, medication management, and ambulatory electronic medical records
- Monitor compliance, recommend solutions to problems and processes
- Facilitate workflow redesign in support of best practices
