NIH NCI seeking Chief, Applied Information Systems Branch

Duties

  • Provide supervision and direction for the Branch by performing the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Analyze and determine methods to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of AISB operations.
  • Provide advice, counsel, and technical direction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • Articulate and communicate to the AISB staff assignments, problems to be solved, milestones, and/or program issues under review and deadlines for completion.
  • Manage the Branch fiscal budget, approve software and hardware purchases, and oversee their inventory.
  • Manage and direct the technical planning, systems analysis and design, programming, user training, implementation, and maintenance of information reporting systems.
  • Coordinate and lead the Security Assessment and Authorization process for required applications.
  • Coordinate and conduct systems analysis to define issues and problems, plans, and conduct feasibility studies, and develop highly complex programming specifications in order to implement new systems.
