KPMG recruits former CMS Advisor Kayla Renals to be Director, Federal Healthcare Strategy

Kayla Renals, an experienced federal health policy and program leader and former Senior Advisor to the Chief Medical Officer at CMS, has taken on a new challenge as Director, Federal Healthcare Strategy at KPMG. Kayla brings expertise in change management, innovation, coalition building, financial resource stewardship, and organizational accountability.

Announcing the move, Kayla wrote on LinkedIn, “After nearly two years with IMPAQ International and the American Institutes for Research, I am excited to begin the next step in my professional journey as Director of Federal Healthcare Strategy with KPMG US. I’m looking forward to being a part of a great team serving clients at HHS and CMS, and helping to drive innovative solutions forward for my current and former colleagues alike.”

Prior roles include:

  • Director Of Strategic Communications – American Institutes for Research
  • Chief of Staff – IMPAQ International
  • Special Assistant and Senior Advisor to the Chief Medical Officer – Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
