VA VHA taps Chief Health Informatics Officers

Michelle Smock, an experienced Registered Nurse with a demonstrated history of working in the Government administration industry, has taken on a new challenge as Chief Health Informatics Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare Administration (VHA).

Prior roles include:

  • Chief of Sterile Processing & Nurse Manager – Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Clinical Nurse Manager –

Priya Joshi, armed with experience working with experts in digital biomarkers, natural language processing, and workflow automation to improve clinical workflow and patient outcomes, has been tapped by the VA as Chief Health Informatics Officer.

Prior roles include:

  • VA Innovation Fellow, Entrepreneur in Residence – Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Director of Preventive Analytics and Care – Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Hospital Medicine – University of California, San Francisco
