CDC taps Deputy Team Lead, Line Level Data Team

Casey Lyons, an experienced epidemiologist with a demonstrated history of working in government research and evaluation, has taken on a new challenge as Deputy Team Lead, Line Level Data Team at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Casey brings a passion for improving public health surveillance systems and skills in Harm Reduction, Drug Policy, Policy Analysis, and Public Health Surveillance.

Prior roles include:

  • Epidemiologist, COVID-19 Response – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Opioid Program Evaluator – Southern Plains Tribal Health Board
  • Manager for Data Programs – Maryland Department of Health
