CMS inks deal for Medi-Span software licenses

UpToDate, a subsidiary of Wolters Kluwer, has been awarded a 5-year, $2M Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) sole-source contract for Medi-Span software licenses. CMS uses the Wolters Kluwer drug information database for claims validation and other legislative functions such as quality monitoring, program integrity and oversight within the scope of the Medicare Part D Drug Benefit Program.
