“The Federal Proposal Writer is responsible for developing unique narratives to support business development in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Prime contractor data calls, and sales presentations. The Federal Proposal Writer will proactively coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the organization and external consultants to write fully compliant, compelling narratives for Pearl’s solutions supporting Federal and State clients. Services include contact centers; healthcare enrollment; claims management; healthcare scheduling and referrals; care navigation and counseling; and government financial services. This position is a Remote, Work from Home opportunity.”
Responsibilities:
- Craft written content in support of all aspects of the government Business Development realm, mostly including but not limited to client proposals and presentations.
- Determine proposal concepts by studying requests for proposals (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, etc.), attending strategy meetings, and speaking with subject matter experts.
- Manage, create, and continuously update boilerplate content tailored to recurring or anticipated client inquiries.
- Develop proposal content by assembling information and creating solutions/outcomes/benefits outlines and writing compelling text with win themes and differentiators.
- Improve proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplates, speaking up to volunteer ideas for improvements, and implementing changes.
- Support the Business Development team throughout the proposal process, meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval, coordinating requirements with contributors, and contributing proposal status information during review meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications or Marketing preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Federal government contracting proposal writing
- Experience generating fully compliant and compelling Federal responses
- Respond to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Prime data calls, and other inquiries about our company’s capabilities
- Analyze proposal requirements and business issues
- Write, edit, and standardize materials for proposals, reports, briefs, and similar content
