“The Program Manager will work within a management team, and with Portfolio Managers and/or Senior Program Managers. Program Manager is responsible for oversight of contract and financial performance, service delivery, quality management, employee management, business growth, and proposal development activities.”
Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for a well-defined program or multiple projects within a portfolio structure.
- Directs and oversees performance of Project Managers within a portfolio, and may also direct onsite Managers, Leads., first line project supervisors, and other staff in support of customer requirements.
- Provides direction and mentorship to Project Managers and other junior staff within a portfolio.
- Ensures administrative, procedural and operational guidelines set forth by customer contracts, contract vehicles, task orders, and organizational policies and procedures are followed.
- Oversees project performance against requirements and metrics and production of deliverables.
- Responsible for overall project performance and management of and issues that may arise and applies hands-on support to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Identify, develop and manage the client and employee relationship.
- Provide leadership to cross functional teams in multiple offices.
- May manage 80+ employees depending on programs and contracts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience to include at least two (2) to five (5) years of experience in government contracting. Relevant government contracting experience requires management of large and complex contracts (i.e. IDIQ, BPA, T&M, FFP type contracts), and experience leading a geographically dispersed team.
- Subject Matter Expertise and/or military/civilian experience in a related discipline is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in an onsite project or program management role is preferred.
