DHA awards contract to advance artificial intelligence wound healing assessment technology

“Predictive analytics company Spectral MD has been awarded $1.1m to advance its artificial intelligence wound healing assessment technology for use in a “far-forward military environment” and improve portability.”

“Spectral said on Thursday that it had been awarded the two-year sequential phase II small business technology transfer contract from the Defense Health Agency within the US Department of Defense and will advance a new, multispectral imaging sensor intended to enable the development of a fully handheld version of its existing AI and MSI technology, DeepView…”

“In addition, this development will also directly benefit the DFU indication by facilitating an expansion into remote care settings including the potential for home health.” Read the full article here.
