Veterans Affairs taps Director for Quality Continuous Improvement Directorate

Carl Lamar, a senior business IT governance and policy developer at the VA, who has been focused on leveraging industry best practices and business process analytics to efficiently streamline relevant business IT, has taken on a new role at the Department of Veterans Affairs as the Director, Quality Continuous Improvement Directorate.

Carl brings experience in industry as well as a decade of IT project management and business transformation roles in the US Army to his new role at the VA.

Prior roles include:

  • IT Governance and Policy Developer, Office of Information Technology – VA
  • Program Manager, Senior Portfolio Manager and Policy Developer – Kapili Services, an Alaka’Ina Foundation Company
  • Governance and Policy Developer, IT Portfolio Manager – E-PAGA, Inc.
