NIH recruits National Scholar of Data and Technology

Yanjun (Jane) Qi, a former senior researcher in the areas of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics, has taken on a new challenge as a National Scholar of Data and Technology with the National Institutes of Health.

In this role Jane will work closely with NIH senior leadership to advise and implement transformative NIH projects that leverage large data sets with deep learning and artificial intelligence, to advance knowledge in areas of high biomedical research impact.

Prior roles include:

  • Associate professor of computer science (tenured) – University of Virginia
  • Senior Researcher/Research Staff Member – NEC Laboratories America
