CMS industry technology leader takes a Chief Data Officer role with Air Force

Vijay Ambikapathy, a senior IT Strategy Leader, brings the experience he has gained defining Technology Roadmap, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Big Data Analytics, Data Warehouse Architecture, Master Data Management, Data Governance, Microservices Architecture, Information Security, and Service Oriented Architecture, to the new role he has taken as a Chief Data Officer with the US Air Force.

Vijay brings recent experience with industry spearheading Digital Transformation, and Enterprise Architecture for a major redesign of Medicare Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System (PECOS), which is used by ~2.5 Million Healthcare Providers Nationwide, for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)/ Center for Program Integrity (CPI).

Prior roles include:

  • Principal Solutions Architect – General Dynamics
  • Enterprise Data Architect – Nielsen
  • Senior Software Engineer – Infosys
