“Liberty IT Solutions has hired Microsoft veteran Scott Thompson to be its VP of Cloud Strategy and Consulting.  Prior to joining Liberty, Scott was Microsoft’s Lead Cloud Strategist for the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), providing the Agency strategic guidance on planning and usage of Microsoft cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365). In this role, Scott led a combination of Solution Architects and Services resources to drive implementation, adoption and compliance in support of VA’s Cloud and DevOps efforts. During this time, 75+ VA projects have adopted Microsoft Azure, nearly 500,000 users were migrated to Office 365, and 15+ production applications have moved to Dynamics 365. Scott also worked with VA to issue multiple FedRAMP ATOs and move toward adoption of TIC 3.0.”
