NIH Office of Research Information Systems Director retires

Richard Ikeda, an experienced Program Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry, to include recent experience managing projects using Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning, recently retired from the National Institutes of Health.

This role supports the Office of the Director’s Office of Extramural Research, directing the development of NIH-wide enterprise applications to facilitate the reporting on NIH extramural programs and provide the reporting and analysis tools to enable portfolio analysis, policy development, and program evaluation.

Prior roles include:

  • Director, Office of Research Information Systems – National Institutes of Health Office of Extramural Research
  • Program Manager, Research, Condition and Disease Categorization – National Institutes of Health
  • Director, Office of Research Information Systems – National Institutes of Health
