NIH seeking Supervisory Clinical Informaticist

This position ensures that the clinical systems that nurses, physicians, and other staff interact with, provides the support necessary to deliver safe, quality care to our research patients. The work focuses on analysis and evaluation of clinical research informatics needs and requirements, development and design of software and computer systems that support the work processes of clinical research, and the implementation and management of responsive clinical information technology solutions.” 

“Responsibilities 

  • Translates clinical and organizational requirements into working components for the ancillary modules of the clinical research information system. 
  • Responsible for testing, training, and customer support services, which include the rigorous process for ensuring all system changes, are checked, recorded and acceptable to users and produce clinically sound data. 
  • Provides supervisory oversight to senior specialists with the responsibility for managing a broad array of clinical research information systems and projects. 
  • Oversees the development of policies and procedures to ensure information system reliability and accessibility, and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data. 
  • Provides a critical liaison role with the clinical and research communities within the NIH intramural program. 
  • Provides analysis and develops potential options for requested complex enhancements to Clinical Systems that impact multiple departments and/or institutes….”
