“As the Director, Provider Compliance Group (PCG), CPI, you will be responsible for CMS’ comprehensive provider compliance initiatives. You will provide leadership and executive direction for activities relating to provider compliance, including medical review and education, data analysis, and recovery audit operations.”
Responsibilities:
- Manages a staff in continuous review and analysis of PCG functional areas to allocate budgetary resources, ascertain program effectiveness, stimulate program and management improvement, and review development of proposals.
- Provides direction to ensure coordinated/integrated operational activities by CMS components, other Departmental and outside organizations. Uses discretion to explore ideas for management change to improve performance and create new energy.
- Assures coordination of component activities involving State and local governmental agencies and takes action to assure the issues of a sensitive political nature are resolved effectively.
- Advises CMS leadership and key national officials on problems of regional and national scope having significant implications on CMS programs. Provides regional support on matters that cut across individual programs.
- Develops program integrity related testimony before Congress, talking points on program integrity issues, Press Office interactions, and responses to GAO and OIG reports related to issues within the scope of PCG.
