Responsibilities
You will serve as the Deputy Chief, Information Technology Branch with responsibility for sharing in the planning and directing all aspects of the work of the Branch. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a senior manager and principal adviser on IT issues to senior management officials, with responsibility for overseeing, managing, and directing a full range of IT services for client organizations, including:
- planning, designing and implementing needed information systems and IT architecture.
- Play a key role in formulating long-range policies and in developing and implementing strategies and management guidelines for complex and changing information technology systems.
- Serve as a recognized technical authority for new and advanced computer systems software and IT developments.
- Conduct IT strategic planning and project management activities. Facilitate teams in conducting analyses, developing goals, objectives, and strategies, and in other strategic tactical, and business planning activities.
- Oversee documentation, configuration management, maintenance, upgrades, evaluation and quality control of all IT activities.
- Provide expert technical advice in the monitoring and evaluation of contractor activities.
- Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
