CMS CMMI Innovation Advisor moves back to FDA as deputy commissioner for medical and scientific affairs

“FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn announced on Wednesday the appointment of Anand Shah as deputy commissioner for medical and scientific affairs…”

“The appointment is a round trip for Shah, who served for a year as a medical officer at the FDA Oncology Center of Excellence prior to his appointment in 2017 as CMO of CMS’s Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation. Shah worked at FDA on Information Exchange and Data Transformation (INFORMED), a big data initiative.”
