FDA recruits recent NIH Chief to be Director driving Personalized Medicine

Wendy Rubinstein, whose experience includes overseeing precision medicine and human variation flagship resources including ClinVar at NIH’s National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI); experience building NIH’s Genetic Testing Registry (GTR), the world’s most comprehensive genetic test repository; and time serving as NIH’s Chief for Medical Genetics and Human Variation, NCBI, takes on a new challenges as Director for Personalized Medicine with the Food and Drug Administration.

Prior roles include:

  • Deputy Medical Director, CancerLinQ – American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)
  • Chief, Medical Genetics and Human Variation, NCBI – National Institutes of Health
  • Director, NIH Genetic Testing Registry and Senior Scientist – National Institutes of Health
