18F Human Services Portfolio Co-founder and original HealthCare.gov Design Lead “exploring new opportunities”

With his term set to expire in Feb 2020, Edward Mullen, an 18F Strategist and design leader with 20 years experience working on digital challenges across a variety of contexts and problem spaces, is understood to be exploring new opportunities in 2020. Given the perspective gained working on several key Federal Health initiatives, to include recent work with CMS on Assessing Medicaid oversight methods and his prior experience at HHS and CMS designing HealthCare.gov, we suspect there will be plenty of interest from those firms supporting the Federal Health sector.

Prior roles include:

  • Strategist (Supervisory) – 18F
  • Edward Mullen Studio – Principal
  • Design Lead – HealthCare.gov 1.0 – Department of Health and Human Services
