“Director of IT Strategic Planning and Program Integration (SPPI) within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Provides VA IT program oversight, planning, integration, and reporting. A senior analyst, advisor, project and program manager, supervising a staff of IT specialists to manage VA’s IT activities, and deliver solutions and implement best practices, and manage the IT activity reporting to VA executive leadership.”
Responsibilities:
“Through subordinate employees, directs periodic and comprehensive nationwide assessments and evaluation of the agency’s program goals and objectives; provides a basis for long-range planning to enhance OIT’s information technology programs and business operations, and resources management capability; identifies and implements OIT information technology reform initiatives while meeting customer requirements.”
“Develops and delivers strategies for organizational performance management, business process analysis, continuous process improvement, OIT fiscal year activity and objectives planning, and program evaluation and reporting.”
“Develops and establishes necessary policies, objectives and goals, ensures programs are implemented effectively.”
“Manages and oversees functions and operations and is the principal advisor for strategic planning and oversight for OIT and other federal agency IT programs.”
“Delivers and manages systems to provide a consolidated picture of the organization’s status, health, gaps, risks, and strategies and is responsible for reporting on the OIT functional and organizational picture to stakeholders.”
