Protest forces DHA to award Theater Medical Information Program – Joint (TMIP-J) Bridge contract

“This Justification & Approval (J&A) supports award of a new bridge contract to provide uninterrupted in-theater systems support for the major fielded components of the Theater Medical Information Program – Joint (TMIP-J). This contract was issued to provide necessary continuity of support for the fielded systems because of a protest of the contract action intended to transform the way the systems are operated… The contract period of performance will be four months, to provide enough time to resolve the protest and resume performance under a contract action that satisfies the Government’s requirements for a full transformation of the TMIP-J platform as planned.”

Note: For security purposes, the release of DoD awards can be delayed as much as 90 days after the action.
