CMS CCIIO seeking Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

“As a IT Cybersecurity Specialist, GS-2210-15, you will serve as CCIIO’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and senior security policy and technical advisor to CCIIO’s Deputy Director for Operations, CCIIO’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and the Director, Marketplace IT Group.”

“Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise and advice to the CCIIO leadership and group directors, CMS CIO and CISO, and Senior Official for Privacy (SOP), partner organizations and stakeholders regarding security and privacy laws, statutes, regulations, and policies.
  • Work with Division Directors across all CCIIO Groups as well as other CMS senior managers in reviewing and assessing programs and projects determined to be of high priority.
  • Provide policy, technical, and operational guidance to a staff of Information Systems Security Officers and security analysts responsible for policy development, implementation and operations oversight of multiple security and compliance frameworks.
  • Represent federal and department level IT security related initiatives such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Continuous Mitigation and Diagnostics (CDM) program.”
