MITRE seeking DoD Electronic Health Records (EHR) Portfolio Manager (PM)

The DoD Electronic Health Records (EHR) Portfolio Manager (PM) is directly accountable to the MITRE EHR Portfolio Director for establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with senior sponsors involved in delivery of DoD EHR solutions. The DoD EHR PM will partner with the VA EHR PM and other MITRE PMs whose sponsors and work programs intersect with or have dependencies with the DoD EHR Modernization program such the Defense Health Agency and Department of Health and Human Services/Office of the National Coordinator. The DoD EHR PM may also engage in work related to other federal EHR modernization efforts, such as the Department of Homeland Security/Coast Guard. Key Functions:

  • Develop, maintain, and proactively manage sponsor and stakeholder relationships (new & existing)
  • Assist the government sponsors to better integrate and leverage other agency initiatives
  • Participate in the development of MITRE EHR strategic outcomes, ensuring that strategic outcomes and accomplishments are mission focused and well understood by everyone associated with the portfolio.
  • Develop and execute a portfolio business strategy identifying, cultivating and capitalizing on strategic EHR opportunities, to include partnering with other portfolios
  • Identify and follow-up on new work opportunities; coordinate with adjacent portfolios as appropriate…

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering, health information management, or related technical disciplines and 10 years of related experience including 5 years of leadership experience. The candidate will demonstrate an ability to foster relationship development, operate effectively at high levels within MITRE customers and potential customers organizations, recognize and follow through on opportunities in new areas and/or with new MITRE customers.
