POLITICO: White House honors health tech team

“The White House hosted a celebration of Presidential Innovation Fellows and their collaborators Thursday, concluding a 14-week “tech health sprint” to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be applied to open federal health data.”

“Seven teams transformed Data.gov resources into digital products, apps, and gamified inventions to improve clinical trials and experimental therapies, and help solve complex challenges ranging from cancer to tick-borne diseases. The fellows worked with patients, private companies and agencies such as the VA and the National Cancer Institute.”
