VA issues RFI related to Cerner integration of Online Scheduling (VAOS) Suite

The VA Online Scheduling (VAOS) suite consists of three web applications.

To implement a seamless and uniform experience for Veterans using VA web-based applications, VAOS is anticipated to integrate with VA’s flagship VA.gov within the base period of this effort. Additionally, VA may implement a Cerner resource-based scheduling solution nation-wide before the Cerner Electronic Health Record Modernization implementation. Should that implementation occur, then VA may require existing VA systems to integrate with Cerner, and the VAOS suite could be one of the integrated systems.

The Contractor shall provide OIT with Agile app development and maintenance support including project management, application lifecycle management, and production troubleshooting and maintenance for the VAOS, SM, and VATS apps and related VistA patches supporting both the VA caregiver community and the external Veteran community. If the optional tasks are exercised, the Contractor shall also provide continued problem resolution and defect management support and coordination as to support all code that was released into production with less than 90 days remaining in the period of performance; Cerner integration feasibility analysis and planning; additional Agile app development; and transition support.
