VA issues presolicitation for Smart Phone Suicide Prevention Application

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center intends to issue a Request For Quote (RFQ) to create a Smart Phone app to improve veteran access to VA suicide prevention programs and tools. The app will be implemented in stages, with West Palm Beach being the primary focus. As the app is implemented and the system moves through the phases, more features will be added, and it will be expanded to more sites.

The Suicide Prevention application will serve as a comprehensive front-end and back-end application that will allow West Palm Beach VAMC to manage the Veterans deemed clinically appropriate for this pilot program. This newly designed application will initially be installed as a standalone application in Phase 1 but in the later phases, it will be integrated with other VA systems and applications like VistA/CPRS, PTSD/Mindfulness/CPT applications.
