Bloomberg: Medicare Agency to Issue $1.6 Billion Health Analytics Recompete

“The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services plans to recompete its Measure and Instrument Support Development (MIDS) contract and double the ceiling value from $800 million to $1.6 billion, according to a Feb. 21 request for proposals.”

“CMS will expand its use of evidence-based medicine, which relies on analyzing big data to determine which treatments and providers are most effective in improving patient health outcomes and lowering the cost of health services in the U.S. To do this more effectively, the agency will look to vendors with expertise using advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to spot patterns in petabytes…” Read the full article here.
