Politico: SAMHSA’s top Substance Abuse Treatment Official reassigned to support HHS’ ReImagine initiative

Politico last week reported that Kim Johnson, Director, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, had been reassigned to work on HHS’ ReImagine project.

The source further reports that Kathryn Power, previously SAMHSA’s Director, Center for Mental Health Services has been named Acting Director as part of the shuffle.

ReImagine HHS was launched in response to the White House Office of Management & Budget’s directive to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the government. This mid-December powerpoint presentation highlights the current status of this effort.

Deloitte consulting was recently awarded a 27-month task for ReImagine Transformation Support Services task
