Opinion: Failure to Launch – Lessons from former CMS Deputy CIO, Henry Chao

“I’m grateful to former CMS Deputy CIO Henry Chao for taking our class on a field trip into the belly the beast that was Healthcare.gov. So often public servants are remembered for one moment in their careers — either a crowning success or an embarrassing failure. Though unfortunately Chao’s name will most likely be associated with the latter, he appears to be building a new career of explaining his mistakes and sharing his thoughts on how the next Healthcare.gov can be better.”
