CMS seeking CMCS Deputy Director

Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Data and Systems Group, Division of HITECH and MMIS.

As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, GS-2210-14, you will be the Deputy Director assisting with leading, directing, planning, and coordinating division staff and activities related to the oversight and management of Medicaid and CHIP state systems.

Duties

  • Provide executive leadership in the overall administrative processes in support of successful business and operations on behalf of the Division.
  • Oversee the assignment of work to subordinate employees based on priorities, selective consideration, difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of the employee.
  • Monitor and oversee states’ development and implementation of eligibility and MMIS system, contracts, and requests for proposals from states, administer the Medicaid Electronic Health Record (eHR) Incentive Program.
  • Serve as lead coordinator and communication liaison with established stakeholders and partners, including vendors, states, advocates, and other CMS components and federal agencies.
