HHS Office of Civil Rights seeking Supervisory Senior Advisor for Health Information Privacy, Data, and Cybersecurity Enforcement

  • Providing functional leadership, oversight, supervision, and coordination necessary to plan, coordinate, and execute activities necessary to timely process and resolve complaints, and to determine compliance with and enforce, the privacy, security and breach notification provisions of the HIPAA Administrative Simplification regulations (45 CFR Part 160 and Subparts A, C, D, and E of Part 164) and the Patient Safety Rule (42 CFR Part 3).
  • Meeting with officials to discuss problems, proposals, or plans related to the administration and/or enforcement of the health information privacy, security and breach notification rules.
  • Planning, managing, supervising, coordinating, and directing the activities of a staff of Health Information Privacy and Security Specialists and contractual support staff to ensure high staff performance.
  • Engaging in strategic planning and communicating to subordinate employees the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values, and integrating them into the section’s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, work products and services.
  • Developing or reviewing materials with the goal of increasing voluntary compliance to ensure the privacy and security of health information and to ensure consistency of application of enforcement policies and procedures to health providers, health plans, health information clearinghouses and their business associates…
