“As a Director, Data Analytics and BI Services at Octo, you will provide vision and overall leadership to the business intelligence, data analytics and data warehousing programs to ensure alignment with the business units’ needs and objectives. As part of our Professional Services team, this position will specifically support programs and projects within the Department of Veterans Affairs.”
Responsibilities:
- Oversee activities of Data Analytics and BI programs by leveraging and delegating to a team of strong second-tier managers and will direct the alignment, adoption, and integration of these disciplines in support of the mission, vision, and strategies of our organization.
- Lead efforts around customer intake and outreach, platform demos and training, and platform features related to data analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
- Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in support of the people, process, and technology employed by the business for consuming, analyzing, and using relevant data and for addressing the business’ key initiatives and issues
- Establish best practices and standards for data management, data integration, data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics and data governance
- Oversee the analytics function, including data analytics and data science and sets strategic priorities for the function and identifies new business opportunities based on data.

Requirements:
- Expertise in data and analytics for a mid-large size company.
- Must have previous experience in government contracting or supporting government organizations.
- Expertise in Data Science, Data Engineering, data modeling, both logical and physical.
- Experience working with unstructured and structured data.
- Experience working with clinical data or clinical data analytics.
- Prefer knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms, tools and technologies.
- Prefer knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods and tools.
- Prefer experience working with Predictive Modeling tools and technologies.
