“The Program Director for MEDHOST products is a liaison between MEDHOST Development and the government’s and industry’s legislative committees. The Program Director will continually maintain knowledge of the current and proposed legislative objectives related to the use of certified EHR technology and ONC EHR certification criteria. The Program Director will assist and perform related tasks in certifying MEDHOST software, including usability testing, Real World Testing, and Digital Quality Measures. This individual works closely with development product owners and development staff to ensure new functionality is consistent with ONC EHR certification requirements.”
Responsibilities:
- On an ongoing basis will attend EHRA legislative committee meetings.
- Review business/clinical case and functional requirements documents for all enhancements required by ONC certification requirements.
- Review testing scripts and emerging product functionality to ensure developed features are consistent with certification requirements.
- Assesses regulatory requirements and changes such as those from CMS, HIPAA, JCAHO, and state agencies in a proactive manner and determines if software functionality meets the regulatory requirements. Work with product owners to plan product design changes to comply where appropriate. These changes become enhancements and follow product enhancement policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Minimum of BS degree in healthcare, public health, or political science-related field. An experienced health IT background is preferred.
- 3+ years experience working with Electronic Health Record systems in an acute health care setting.
