VA seeking Senior Cybersecurity Advisor

“The Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) position is in the Office of Information Security (OIS) and serves as a senior cybersecurity (CS) advisor. The incumbent works with OIS Directors under the Executive Director for Cybersecurity Integration Logistics and Planning in the coordination of the Office’s Cybersecurity program, strategic plans, message development, communication plan, logistics, resource management, budget prioritization and execution.”

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and provides expert technical advice on all phases of short, mid, and long range planning of organization cybersecurity and management activities, including organizational re-design and impacts associated with legislative and regulatory changes.
  • Perform supervisory duties and responsibilities over a staff of IT, budget, administrative and communication support positions comprised of federal and contract personnel.
  • Advise on budget prioritization and execution, approving the allocation of designated funds within the organizational budget.
  • Coordinate logistics and acquisition management.
