HRSA seeking Web & Electronic Media Director

“This position is located in the Health Resources and Services Administration, Office of the Administrator, Office of Communications. The duty location for this position is in Rockville, MD.”

Responsibilities:

As a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist, you serve as the Web and Electronic Media Director in the Office of Communications with responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of staff and oversight of contract staff.

Your major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leading transformational change in digital and electronic media communications across the agency based on the latest in communications science, practice and HRSA priorities.
  • Overseeing technical support, digital development, the hosting of HHS digital content, usability, design support, analytics and providing expert technical and operational advice to senior management and guidance to staff.
  • Providing direction and oversight for contracted, support services, including operation and maintenance of a web content management system as well as social media development and dissemination.
  • Managing digital and electronic media communications activities, working closely with the Director and Deputy Director of the Office of Communications and others on strategic planning, budgeting, operations and maintenance of HRSA.gov and subordinate websites.
