VA taps Deputy Network Director, VISN 5

Joseph Scotchlas, a Board certified healthcare leader with sixteen years of experience both in direct clinical care and leadership, has taken on a new challenge as Deputy Network Director at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Capitol Healthcare Network (VISN 5). An advocate for patient-driven health choices, Joseph is Interested in public/private partnerships and health care re-engineering as a mechanism to improve patient safety.

Prior roles include:

  • Assistant Healthcare System Director – U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Supervisory Health Systems Specialist to the Director – U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Supervisory Administrative Officer – Department of Medicine – U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
