SBA taps Deputy Associate Administrator, Investment and Innovation

Michele Schimpp, armed with over 6 years of experience in administrator roles at the Small Business Administration, has been tapped by SBA as Deputy Associate Administrator, Investment and Innovation.

In this new role, Michele will be responsible for Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs), Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR), Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership programs and the Growth Accelerator Fund Competition.

Prior roles include:

  • Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of International Trade – Small Business Administration
  • Assistant Administrator, Diversity and Inclusion – Small Business Administration
  • Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of Investment and Innovation – Small Business Administration
