“We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Director of Business Development to develop and implement growth strategies and opportunities across the Federal Civilian Sector market with a strong focus on the Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, and National Institutes of Health.”
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within the broader Federal Civilian Community through a variety of sources
- Develop relationships with GS-13+ levels across the government
- Participate in industry groups and conferences to represent and promote our capabilities
- Participate in responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Provide weekly reporting and analysis of the business development pipeline, and pitch new deals and strategies to strengthen our pipeline
- Engage in industry events and serve as liaison for memberships and event participation
- Work collaboratively and proactively across the organization to drive and achieve broader company growth objectives
Requirements:
- 10+ years of Business Development and/or Capture experience, at least 5 of which have been at a strategic leadership level
- Recent (within the last 3 years), notable relationships within DHS, State, USDA, NIH, and/or other Federal Civilian agencies
- Pursuing and winning Task Orders on agency specific vehicles and GWACs (e.g. CIO-SP3).
- Deep understanding of government procurement, and broader federal contracts, regulations, and procedures
- A passion for problem solving and helping customers understand how emerging technologies can help them achieve their missions
- Working knowledge of leading-edge technologies (i.e., Cloud, DevSecOps, Cyber, AI) and solutioning
- An obsessive focus on strategic alignment, growth, and winning deals
