MetroStar seeking Director, Business Development, NIH

“We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Director of Business Development to develop and implement growth strategies and opportunities across the Federal Civilian Sector market with a strong focus on the Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, and National Institutes of Health.”

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within the broader Federal Civilian Community through a variety of sources
  • Develop relationships with GS-13+ levels across the government
  • Participate in industry groups and conferences to represent and promote our capabilities
  • Participate in responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Provide weekly reporting and analysis of the business development pipeline, and pitch new deals and strategies to strengthen our pipeline
  • Engage in industry events and serve as liaison for memberships and event participation
  • Work collaboratively and proactively across the organization to drive and achieve broader company growth objectives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Business Development and/or Capture experience, at least 5 of which have been at a strategic leadership level
  • Recent (within the last 3 years), notable relationships within DHS, State, USDA, NIH, and/or other Federal Civilian agencies
  • Pursuing and winning Task Orders on agency specific vehicles and GWACs (e.g. CIO-SP3).
  • Deep understanding of government procurement, and broader federal contracts, regulations, and procedures
  • A passion for problem solving and helping customers understand how emerging technologies can help them achieve their missions
  • Working knowledge of leading-edge technologies (i.e., Cloud, DevSecOps, Cyber, AI) and solutioning
  • An obsessive focus on strategic alignment, growth, and winning deals
