“The Director of Business Development will work with company executives, program and account managers, and other colleagues to support the full lifecycle of business development activities focused on federal civilian contracting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research on partners, accounts, and opportunities to develop and maintain a pipeline of new business at federal civilian agencies with a focus on HHS OpDivs (FDA, HRSA, and CDC) that is aligned to corporate capabilities.
- Cultivate and maintain an in depth understanding of company capabilities, past performance, and strategic objectives.
- Lead partnering activities to position for opportunities.
- Meet with current and potential customers to gather information and present company capabilities and discriminators related to new business. Collaborate with company technical personnel as needed to best represent the company.
- Document and present early-stage capture plans that outline win strategies and bid rationale. Support pre-proposal activities (solutioning, competitive research, staffing) and proposal reviews.
- Represent the company at industry days, conferences, and other networking events to build relationships, gain market insights, and gather opportunity intelligence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience required
- Demonstrated network of relevant client and partner relationships and knowledge of the federal health market with a focus on FDA, HRSA, and CDC
- Must be highly organized with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and present information to executives and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience working effectively on multi-disciplinary teams”
