Press Release: NCI Partners with The American College of Radiology Data Science Institute to Speed AI Development

“Based on requests from developers, people from the NCI Cancer Imaging Program and the American College of Radiology (ACR) Data Science Institute (DSI) have teamed up to connect use cases and data sets within their systems to speed up medical imaging artificial intelligence (AI) development.”

“Data set collection is the most important step in developing robust AI algorithms. Thus, linking ACR DSI Define-AI use cases to The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) data sets enables developers to build radiology AI algorithms, which include defined data elements and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) images useful for inputs, outputs, and training and testing models…” Read the full press release here.
