OptumServe seeking Marketing Director, Federal

Responsible for partnering with the OptumServe federal government business leadership and growth office to conceptualize and implement an integrated marketing engagement strategy that will enhance brand awareness, increase market engagement with federal health buyers and decision makers, generate marketing qualified leads and nurture the pipeline to drive client acquisition, retention and growth.

Responsibilities include brand management for OptumServe sub-brand, development of thought leadership and product marketing content to fuel engagement campaigns and demand generation programs, sales enablement, strategic planning and oversight of events, creation of key messages and development of print and digital content that will enhance and protect the Optum brand while engaging category targets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • B2B marketing campaign leadership. Proactively develop a marketing engagement plan and mix as a contribution to the overall OptumServe marketing engagement strategy that develops new opportunities while building client loyalty and brand equity among target federal agencies and customers; ultimately achieving marketing and financial objectives. Work with business unit, product marketing, market directorate and sales leaders to shape campaign themes for a rolling 12-month timeframe
  • B2B marketing campaign execution. Develop and lead the execution of integrated marketing programs to target audiences in alignment with brand, market, and solution categories. This includes embedding individual products and services into respective campaigns to support and strengthen solution themes. A contributing factor to this success is providing direction and overseeing the project management of campaign execution across a cross-functional shared services operational marketing team
  • Account Based Marketing: Develop and lead the execution of integrated ABM programs to select strategic federal agencies. Success of this strategy is understanding the growth pipeline, timing of contract renewals and RFP milestones, as well as participating in growth office pipeline and deal review meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • 9+ years related marketing experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B marketing within the healthcare or the federal government industry
  • 3+ years managing direct reports
  • Experience working with digital marketing technologies, tools, and methodologies to reach consumer, e.g., email nurture campaigns, website and social media marketing
