NIH National Library of Medicine taps Web & Information Management Unit Lead

Bridget Burns, an IT professional with diverse skills in both technical and public services, has taken on a position with the National Institutes of Health to be the National Library of Medicine Head of the Web and Information Management Unit.

Possessing experience from past public sector service at NASA, Department of State and NIH, Bridget brings a track record of managing resources, embracing technology and innovation to provide user-centered services.

Prior roles include:

  • Information Architect – National Institute of Health Library
  • Lead Acquisitions Librarian, Ralph J. Bunche Library – Department of State
  • Acquisitions, Collections, & Outreach Librarian – NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
