VA Strategic Acquisition Center adds new Associate Executive Director from Navy

Christopher Parker, a senior acquisition leader with over 15 years of hands-on acquisition and program management experience in optimizing supply chains and proven performance across the range of logistics and supply chain functions in support of demanding overseas operations in complex and austere environments, has taken on a new role as Associate Executive Director with the Department of Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center.

In this role Christopher will be responsible for VA strategic acquisitions in support of the provision of benefits and medical care to the nation’s Veterans.

Prior roles include:

  • Deputy Director for Contracting – US Navy Office of Special Projects
  • Division Chief for Strategy and Readiness – Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
  • Commanding Officer – NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella
