Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization, ensuring that we operate efficiently and chart objectives for smart and efficient growth while effectively supporting the DSC mission and vision.
- In this role, you will report to the Board of Directors, and be the face of our organization, working closely with the Board, government officials, and other key stakeholders.
- You will wear both executive and operational “hats” through the first year, managing finances and developing a plan for growing the organization’s operational staff and functions.
- You will collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish objectives and key results for each of our core beliefs: Community, Advocacy, Education, Partnership, and Impact.
Requirements:
- Executive level experience in:
- Leading a start-up; preferably will have started a non-profit.
- Government procurement best practices and challenges.
- Building relationships with procurement officials and key government leaders.
- Federal Technology policy and challenges.
- Operational management experience in:
- Managing a distributed organization, building consensus, and establishing open dialogues.
- Building an organization from the ground up, recruiting, and hiring staff.
- Managing a budget; ideal candidate will have experience managing non-profit financials.
- You want to see positive change in Federal government digital services.
- You demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the civic tech movement.
