Responsibilities:
“The NINR is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Executive Officer. He/She is responsible for advising the NINR Director and NIH Institutes and Centers (IC) Directors on the development of NIH-wide policy issues related to the NINR.”
“As Executive Officer for the NINR, he/she serves as the Institute’s principal advisor to the NINR Director and senior NINR staff on all phases of administrative management. As such, he/she provides leadership in improving NINR business, information management, human capital, and infrastructure systems. Duties include the development and formulation of new programs and the evaluation of existing programs with particular emphasis on efficient utilization of resources to assure the greatest probability of success. As the focal point for administrative policy and procedures in the NINR, he/she analyzes, reviews, and appraises operations to stimulate management improvements, and provides administrative direction to all NINR programs. This responsibility involves not only the presentation of original ideas, but also recognition of the need for new approaches, which requires study and revision of existing policies.”
