US Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery taps Innovation Lead for Consolidated Information Center (CIC)

Michael Howard, a recent US Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Consolidated Information Center Deputy Director, takes on a new role as Innovation Lead and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) for the CIC.

Prior roles include:

  • Deputy Director, Consolidated Information Center – Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), US Navy

The CIC is a Navy Medicine enterprise capability providing services to decrease cost, accelerate speed to decision, and enable data-driven decision making in support of warfighter readiness and survivability. CIC capabilities include decision support, deep-dive analyses, process automation, and performance analytics.
